We have been working on thinking about our thinking lately! We have been considering the differences between when we are thinking creatively and critically, and trying to use both types of thinking in many of the activities that we undertake in our day! The students are becoming much more aware of how they think, and hearing them explain their thinking is enriching our learning greatly!
Montre et raconte
Our current theme for montre et raconte is an item of your child's choice, as it is their last round of the year! Please help your child to choose one meaningful item that they can bring that will be unique and interesting for them to share. Please have them brainstorm three clues that they can present to their classmates to help the class guess what the item that they have brought in is. This is very helpful in supporting one of our main goals during show and tell, which is to build our language and thinking skills in personal and natural conversation, not simply showing our friends an object.
Sidenotes: Our order has changed this time around. See our classroom window for more information!
The same day that your child does show and tell, they will be le Petit Professeur in our classroom which means they will help lead our morning calendar for their peers.
